Consultant Podiatric Surgeon
After graduating as a Podiatrist from University College, Salford in 1987 Simon worked in all areas of Podiatry, in both community and hospital settings, he commenced specialist surgical training in Ipswich in 1989, in one of the first NHS based podiatric Surgery departments in the UK. Since completing specialist training as a Podiatric Surgeon in 1996, he has held Consultant posts in Ipswich where he was also a Tutor in Podiatric surgery.
Simon spent some time overseas, working within the Health regulation of Podiatry in Canada. On returning to the UK, he took up Consultant posts in East Kent and Wolverhampton before settling in the North East in 2011.
He has successfully performed over 8000 foot operations, concentrating mainly on the surgical management of bunions, arthritic big toe joints, lesser toe deformity and soft tissue conditions.
